When to go: Spring (April – May) and Fall (September – October) if you want to avoid the crowds. High season is June – August.

Immigration and Visas: You will need a European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) to travel to Belgium starting in mid-2025. Always verify the latest requirements three months before leaving to make sure nothing has changed.

Accessibility Information: Major tourist sites, newer hotels, transportation and most cities are accessible. Older buildings and some historic sites may be less accessible. Language: Dutch, French and German

Etiquette: Be polite and on time. Use eye contact when speaking to someone and wait for them to offer a handshake. Avoid pointing, be respectful of personal space. Use your indoor voice, cover a yawn or cough, don’t ask questions about personal wealth.
