When to go: Spring (April – May) and Fall (September – October) if you want to avoid the crowds. High season is June – August.
Immigration and Visas: You will need a European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) to travel to Italy starting in mid-2025. Always verify the latest requirements three months before leaving to make sure nothing has changed.
Accessibility Information: Major tourist sites, newer hotels, transportation and most major cities are accessible. Older buildings and some historic sites may be less accessible. Language: Italian
Etiquette: Be polite and respectful of elders. Stand up when an older person enters the room, open doors for elderly and women. Modest dress, say good morning or evening when greeting someone. Being 10-15 minutes late is not unusual.
