When to go: May – October. June – August is peak tourist season.

Immigration and Visas: You will not need a visa for Peru. When arriving in Peru, you will receive a digital immigration card (Tarjeta Andina de Migración – TAM) registering your entry. Always verify the latest requirements three months before leaving to make sure nothing has changed.

Accessibility Information: Lima is more accessible than other cities and areas, with major hotels, sights and some transportation accessible. Machu Picchu has accessible paths, and several tour companies offer tours of Peru. Call in advance to verify and make specialty arrangements. Language: Spanish

Etiquette: Greet people and shake hands when meeting, use formal titles. Don’t expect people to be on time. Avoid hand gestures. Dress respectfully and modestly. Remove our hat when entering a church. Ask permission before taking anyone’s photo. Remove your shoes when entering a home.
