There are millions of people with challenges all over the world. It is easy to talk yourself out of going on a trip because it may be out of your comfort zone.

The good news is that there are a lot of companies that cater specifically to senior adults and those with special needs. The baby boomers are a big generation, and they are retiring in droves. Smart companies have picked up on this and are setting up tours that accommodate older adults.

Yes, a lot of countries do not have the accommodative structures such as ramps, level surfaces, elevators, etc., that we have here in the US regarding access, but a lot of countries and individual popular sights DO. Several online tour groups list the difficulty level of the tour, note the type of walking surface, and length of walking time so you can gauge if the tour or excursion is right for you.  OR if you don’t want to get online, prepare your questions and call customer service with the tour you are thinking about booking. They are there to help you and will be happy to answer your questions.
