When to go: Spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May), November to March is high season and can be crowded.

Immigration and Visas: You will need a visa to visit Australia. Apply for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) well before your visit. Always verify the latest requirements three months before leaving to make sure nothing has changed.

Accessibility Information: Australia is pretty accessible. Major tourist sights, hotels and transportation in most major cities is accessible. Further, several hiking trails are accessible. Etiquette: Politeness and respect are important. A casual hello is fine, and casual dress is fine unless on business. Don’t spit in public, use your fork in your left hand and your knife in the right hand to eat. The “thumbs up” or winking at women is considered rude. Don’t ask personal questions about wealth or body size. Take the time to learn a few common words in Australian English…you may find they don’t’ mean what you think they do.
