When to go: Spring (April – May) and Fall (September – October) if you want to avoid the crowds. High season is June – August.

Immigration and Visas: You need a European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) to travel to France starting in mid-2025. Always verify the latest requirements three months before leaving to make sure nothing has changed.

Accessibility Information: Major tourist areas, newer hotels, transportation and most cities are accessible. Many museums offer free or discounted admission for people with disabilities and their caregivers. Historic parts of cities may have cobbled streets, and some sidewalks may be blocked by parked cars. Language: French

Etiquette: Be polite, on time and observe table manners. Shake hands upon introduction, say good morning when entering a shop. Hands above the table and wait until everyone is served before eating when dining and don’t ask to change menu items. Use your indoor voice.
